

Overberg District Development Model (DDM) Tourism Stakeholder Outreach Session
The Department of Tourism, in partnership with Overberg District Municipality and Cape Agulhas Municipality, is hosting the District Development Model (DDM) Tourism Stakeholder Outreach Session on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, at the Thusong Centre in Bredasdorp.
This information-sharing and capacity-building session forms part of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Capacity Building Programme and aims to support and strengthen tourism businesses across the Overberg region. The session will provide valuable information on funding opportunities, business support programmes, skills development initiatives, and government incentives available to enterprises within the tourism value chain.
Participants will receive presentations and guidance on programmes such as:
Tourism Transformation Fund (TTF)
Green Tourism Incentive Programme (GTIP)
Market Access Support Programme (MASP)
Funding opportunities from institutions such as the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), National Empowerment Fund (NEF), and Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA).

The session presents an excellent opportunity for tourism stakeholders to learn about available support mechanisms, network with industry partners, and gain practical information on accessing funding and development opportunities to grow their businesses.
