Description
Situated in 16 Hoop Street, dating back to 1859, is another place of interest to visit. It was declared a Provincial Heritage Site in 1993. The sketch plan made provision for four cells, a kitchen, a courtroom and two offices. The goal has a courtyard containing a whipping post.
Washing in town was done at the river and the washing stone has been declared a national monument.
