Between the towns of Bredasdorp and Napier, you’ll find a natural world with plants and animals found nowhere else on earth. The Nuwejaars Wetlands Special Management Area (NWSMA) is a 47 000-hectare area, consisting of irreplaceable wetlands, rivers and threatened fynbos, as well as agricultural land. The NWSMA is a non-profit company, working to protect this natural area. And they have committed to conservation and sustainable farming by signing title deed restrictions to protect the area in perpetuity.
