Malgas Pont/Ferry Service

REOPENING OF PONT/FERRY SERVICE

Members of the public are hereby informed that the maintenance and repair work on the Pont/Ferry has been successfully completed following the required servicing and survey conducted in collaboration with the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA).

The Ferry is now fully operational and open to the public as of today, Thursday, 02 April 2026.

The Overberg District Municipality thanks all residents and road users for their patience and understanding during the temporary closure period.
