Napier Heritage and Conservation Body Photographic Competition

The Napier Heritage and Conservation Body Photographic Competition invites photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the unique character and beauty of Napier through the lens of the theme, “Napier Through Your Eyes.” This competition encourages participants to celebrate the town’s rich heritage, natural landscapes, and everyday moments while showcasing the places, people, and stories that make Napier truly special.

Participants can enter photographs in five inspiring categories. Our Streets in Napier highlights the charm, architecture, and daily life found along the town’s streets. Overlooked Napier encourages photographers to discover hidden details, forgotten corners, and unique perspectives that often go unnoticed. Wild Napier celebrates the area’s indigenous flora, fauna, and natural beauty, while Rural Napier captures the agricultural landscapes, farms, and countryside that form the heart of the region. Reflecting Napier’s Heritage focuses on the town’s historical buildings, cultural landmarks, traditions, and stories that preserve Napier’s identity for future generations.

Whether using a professional camera or a smartphone, entrants are encouraged to share their personal perspective and help tell the story of Napier through creative and compelling imagery. The competition aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the town’s heritage and conservation while inspiring residents and visitors alike to see Napier in a new light.
