TAFI Gujarat Chapter visits Cape Agulhas

The Cape Agulhas Tourism Office, in partnership with Travel Senses South Africa, led by owner Pratik Patel, recently hosted an educational tour aimed at showcasing the region to the Indian travel market and creating greater awareness of Cape Agulhas as a premier tourism destination.

The tour welcomed a 30-member delegation from the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) Gujarat Chapter, one of the regional branches of India’s leading travel trade association.

The organisation represents travel agents and tour operators throughout the state, promoting industry collaboration, international tourism opportunities, and engagement with government stakeholders.

The educational tour provided delegates with firsthand experiences of the region’s unique tourism offerings while strengthening tourism partnerships between South Africa and India.

Through interactive engagements and site visits, the initiative highlighted the exceptional natural, cultural, and heritage attractions that make Cape Agulhas a distinctive destination for international travellers.

As part of the programme, the delegation visited the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse Precinct, the Southernmost Tip of Africa, and De Hoop Nature Reserve.

These visits offered valuable insight into the area’s rich biodiversity, coastal landscapes, and tourism experiences, equipping the delegates with the knowledge needed to confidently promote Cape Agulhas within the Indian travel market.
