Description

Halfaampieskraal has been rooted in the heart of the Overberg, amidst a patchwork of wheat fields, nestled under gently folded mountains and framed by a vast sky for two hundred and fifty years. Halfaampieskraal is still very much a working farm.

The string of outbuildings that once housed the schoolroom and blacksmith’s forge has been transformed into luxurious guest rooms. The thick, solid clay walls insulate guests from the snap of winter and provide a cool summer refuge. Rooms are decorated individually with a keen eye for detail and comfort. The resident geese provide down for the voluptuous duvets and the bathrooms are large for lingering in a lazy bath or shower.

Breakfasts are usually served al fresco with the rest of your day open to visit nearby towns, or simply relax poolside or on a couch about the fire. Elegant, home-cooked three-course dinners round off the days, before retiring to a sweet slumber.

For the duration of your stay, Halfaampieskraal will be your refuge to enjoy and explore.
