Cape Nature Closure Notice
Due to inclement weather, the following reserves will be closed as follows:
• 5-8 May 2026: Temporarily closed for day visitors at Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve.
• 6-11 May 2026: All facilities at Robberg and Goukamma Nature Reserve.
• 7-14 May 2026: All accommodation, hiking trails, picnic sites, 4×4 trails including Oukraal at Gamkaberg Nature Reserve.
• 9-13 May 2026: The Damara Trail at De Mond Nature Reserve.
• 10-11 May 2026: All facilities, including the boardwalk at Stony Point Nature Reserve.
• 10-12 May 2026: All hiking trails and picnic sites at Jonkershoek and Assegaaibosch Nature Reserve, including all facilities and overnight huts at Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve.
• 10-14 May 2026: All day and overnight trails in Cederberg Complex and Matjiesrivier Nature Reserve (Stadsaal and Truitjieskraal).
