Is De Hoop the Ultimate Family Destination? We’ve shared four reasons so far, and we’re wrapping up with number 5: ‘Origins of Early Southern Sapiens Behaviour’ exhibition.

Within the main exhibition, there is a dedicated Children’s Interactive Area. This zone is focused on encouraging young kids to interact with archaeology in an engaging way. There are drawing and art activities (kiddos can decorate an ostrich egg!), puzzles, a lightbox, and other fun tools that allow kids to discover more about the region’s rich archaeological history.
